OUR MISSION
Rise Collective is on mission to intentionally disciple early-career women in New York City. Our vision is to see women united in Christ, rooted in God’s Word and rising up for the glory of God.
We currently host monthly discipleship gatherings for the women in our community to encounter Christ and grow together as disciples of Jesus.
In September of 2024 we launched our ARISE Discipleship Program. ARISE is a 10-month residential spiritual formation experience designed to help young women grow in following Jesus and forming a life around the presence of God in an intentional discipleship community. The fellows study the Bible while learning to apply Biblical principles and practices to their daily lives in New York City.
OUR STORY
The Rise Collective origins trace back to an online Zoom Bible study community during the start of the Covid pandemic. Founder, Laura Leigh Rogers, had just made her Broadway debut in Mean Girls in March 2020. With the platform she had gained due to the show, she had an audience of young women desiring to grow in their faith during an isolating and disorienting season of life. God placed it on her heart to gather the women online to study the Bible. In a short time this online community reached over 1400 women from over 10 different countries including Russia, Hong Kong, Brazil and Australia. When Laura Leigh moved back to NYC in early 2021 she began transitioning from leading online Bible studies, and was feeling increasingly led to focus on gathering women in New York City to encounter Christ. It was during this time that the ministry Rise Collective began to form and take shape.
God gave Laura Leigh vision to see the next generation of women RISING into the fullness of life in the Kingdom of God. She saw the need for discipleship and community among young women transitioning to life and career , and the many challenges that come along with being in your twenties in a city with 8.4 million other people.
It started as weekly Bible studies at Laura Leigh’s apartment, and overtime the vision began to grow and the fruit of the work expanded. It’s taken different forms over the past few years, but all with the aim to gather women together around the Word of God to encounter Christ and grow as followers of Jesus.
Rise Collective became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in June of 2022. Our future vision is to continue to serve the early-career women of New York City through creating spaces for women to grow as disciples of Jesus.
In September 2024, after much prayer and planning, we launched the ARISE Discipleship Program. We see the program as the heart of the future of our work. To blend residential living with intentional discipleship in a community focused on spiritual formation into the image of Jesus. The Lord has provided an NYC-based townhome to house our ARISE fellows and we couldn’t do what we do without the generous support of our ministry partners and donors!

Core Beliefs
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, visible and invisible.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
